Voter file software by state

Voter file software for local campaigns, by state.

Most local candidates don't need a national data contract. They need their own race's voters, scored and segmented, at a price a first-time campaign can carry. Every state publishes its voter file to candidates, and VoterFile turns the file you bring into field-ready walk lists, mail lists, and turf, no matter which state you run in.

How it works, in any state

You obtain your own official voter file directly from your state or county elections office, under your own entitlement as a candidate or committee. You bring that file to VoterFile, and we do the rest.

Because you supply your own file under your own state's rules, there is no national data contract and no per-record data fee. You pay a flat one-time software fee for your race, and the scoring calibrates to your own state's election history.

  • Bring your own state's official voter file
  • Import, de-duplicate, and geocode to walkable turf
  • Turnout and vote-timing scoring calibrated to your state
  • Walk lists, mail lists, and canvassing packets
  • Portable CSV export, flat per-race pricing

States supported now

Coverage is growing. These states have public, low-cost voter files and clear rules for candidate use, so they are live first. Pick your state for the exact steps to get your file and what it costs.

We can get your file for you

First-time candidates often get stuck on the voter-file request itself. VoterFile can do it for you: we prepare your state or county's request paperwork, tell you exactly what to sign, and load the file into your workspace ready to score. You stay the requester of record, as the law requires, and we handle the rest.

  • We prepare the request paperwork for your signature
  • You sign as the requester of record
  • We import and score the file in your private workspace

Built for the races the national vendors skip

The national voter-data vendors are priced for statewide and federal campaigns. A first-time candidate for city council or school board is too small for that model. VoterFile is the opposite wedge: your own data, a flat per-race fee, and no annual contract.

Questions

Which states can I use this in?

The states listed above are live now, and coverage is expanding. The model works in any state that lets a candidate obtain their own voter file, which is every state, so new states are onboarding steps rather than product rebuilds.

Do you sell the voter file?

No. You obtain your own file directly from your state under your own entitlement. We are the software that processes the file you bring, never a data seller.

What does it cost?

A flat one-time software fee per race, far below the multi-thousand-dollar statewide contracts from the national vendors. Your state's voter file is obtained separately from your state, usually free or near-free.
